FAQ

Frequently asked questions

When do I need a tax advisor if I already have an accountant?

An accountant handles day-to-day bookkeeping and filings. A tax advisor is needed for non-standard transactions, cross-border deals, restructurings, tax audits and disputes - situations where the cost of a decision is high and the Tax Code has to be interpreted and defended.

How does a tax dispute work in Georgia?

A tax assessment can be appealed to the Revenue Service, then to the Dispute Resolution Council at the Ministry of Finance, or in court. Each stage has deadlines and evidence requirements, so building the right position from the first stage matters. BeeWise prepares the appeal and supporting arguments and represents you during the review.

Who is subject to transfer pricing rules?

Under the Georgian Tax Code, transfer pricing rules apply to cross-border transactions between related parties and to transactions with residents of low-tax jurisdictions. Such companies must be able to show that their prices are at arm's length and provide supporting documentation on request.

Can you take over our ongoing tax compliance completely?

Yes. Tax compliance covers preparation and filing of returns, tax calendar management and ongoing advice. Combined with accounting outsourcing it becomes one integrated process, with bookkeeping and filings running in the same system.

How does an engagement start?

The first step is an introductory meeting where we review your question and agree on the scope and format: a one-off opinion, project-based involvement or ongoing support.
